Inayawan Landfill’s Keeper

At least 600 scavengers sort the trash in the Cebu City Inayawan sanitary landfill to make money, but it stopped when the City Government halted the dumping of all forms of waste and all other activities at the City-owned facility on December 10, 2011.

With the closure of the landfill, the scavengers worry about how they will now find money to feed their families and meet other needs of their children. Read more
